World Traveller:
Arthur loves to travel the World. He took his family on a two
month summer vacation throughout Europe. He has travelled with
his wife Leah in Turkey, Thailand and most recently Bali in
Indonesia. Planning a trip? Arthur would love to share he story
of your adventure.
Grandfather:
A "young" grandfather, Arthur enjoys spending time
with his 7 grandchildren, who all live within an easy commute
of his home. If you are someone who has babies, toddlers or
children just starting school, he can talk your language. There
is a special joy in being a grandparent that has to be experienced
to be understood.
A Reader who is a Leader:
Arthur is the chairperson of the "Rex Libris Society"
an organization dedicated to encouraging professional reading
in the financial services industry. Every month they read and
review a new book, to ensure that a dozen new books are read
by the end of each year.
Arthur created a committee in his local Rotary chapter, called
the Coffee Klatch. It is dedicated to raising funds for school
libraries to support literacy.
Community Leader:
In his own community Arthur has been President of his Rotary
Chapter, served 12 years on the executive of the Fraser Valley
Executive Association, and is currently President of the Phoenix
Group, a network of business professionals in his community.
ARTHUR CLAXTON says:
After 10 successful years with two provincial governments
in the area of Adult Education and Communications I wanted
to work in the private sector to help people learn more about
intelligent management of their money. I had discovered that
many bright people were making serious financial mistakes,
simply because they did not have the information they needed
to make good decisions. In 1981 I began my wonderful career
of helping people grow their money, reduce their taxes and
most importantly protect themselves and their families from
financial risk.
I am excited that we are visiting now because it means that
you now have an introduction to some of the best information
about mortgage and life insurance available on the net. I
use the term “introduction” because I know pursuing
good quality knowledge that can save you money is important
to you. So I would encourage you to call me with any questions
you may have regarding insurance.
FAQ’s
1. Is there some way of replacing
my income if I can’t work due to sickness or accident?
Yes. Income Replacement Insurance can be purchased and is
paid out to you as income while you are unable to work.
Unlike Workman’s compensation you do not have to be
injured or sick on the job, the protection is 24/7.
2. If I insure my mortgage privately, do I have
to reapply if I change my financial institution?
No. That is one of the many advantages of insuring yourself
privately, the insurance is non-cancelable until you decide
you no longer need it.
3. What will happen if I have a
stroke, heart attack or cancer and don’t die? Is there
some way I could protect myself from financial loss or unusual
medical expenses? Yes. For many having a critical
illness such as you have mentioned can be financially devastating.
Critical illness insurance responds to that important question.
4. I am very limited to what I can put into my RRSP
because I have a pension through my employer, are there
other opportunities where I can have my savings growing
on a tax deferred basis. Yes. Some permanent insurance
policies allow you to be insured and build wealth inside
them that would be available to supplement your retirement
income.
5. My parents may need extended care in the future
just when my own family need cash for education, is there
insurance that would cover the cost of having them in a
first class private nursing home? I understand
that we are already short of beds in this province, we will
be in worse shape in 10 years. Yes. In the last few years
the insurance industry has developed Long Term Care insurance
which will allow your parents the dignity of staying in
good quality care homes without fear that they will run
out of money.
